How to use your portal

Download Ricochet Go
Download the Ricochet Go app on your phone, or use the browser login above. When prompted, enter: Store Name: newandusedtahoesports · Username: your email · Password: the one you set, or call us and we'll set one for you.

Check Your Inventory
View all your active listings, see what's priced, what's sold, and what's pending. Prices are set by our team based on condition and market value.

Request a Payout
Once items have sold, your earnings accumulate in your account. Follow directions below in the Request a Payout section.

Check Your Balance
Log in to your Ricochet portal or app to confirm your current earnings balance before submitting a request.

Submit the Form
Fill out the payout request by clicking the 'Request Payout' button in this section. This puts your request in writing and helps us process it on one of the two monthly payout dates.

Get Paid

CONSIGN

Step 01
Call Ahead

Give us a quick call at 530-584-2236 to confirm we're currently accepting the type of gear you have. Inventory needs change by season — we want to make sure your drop-off is worth the trip.

Step 02
Drop It Off

Bring your clean, functional gear to the shop at 475 N Lake Blvd, Unit 105. Our team will review each item on the spot. To save time, you can fill out the consignment agreement ahead of your visit.

Step 03
We Price & List It

Your gear goes on the floor for 60 days. We handle all pricing, photos, and merchandising — no effort on your end. You'll get notifications through the Ricochet app whenever an item sells, so you can enjoy your life while we do the work.

Step 04
Get Paid

When your item sells, earnings land in your Ricochet account. You keep 40–80% depending on sale price — the more it sells for, the higher your cut. Request a payout anytime through the form on this page.

What percentage do I get when my item sells? +
You keep a percentage of the final sale price based on the item's value — the higher the sale price, the more you earn:

$0 – $49.99: you keep 40%
$50 – $299.99: you keep 50%
$300 – $999.99: you keep 60%
$1,000 – $1,999.99: you keep 70%
$2,000+: you keep 80%

No upfront fees — we only earn when you do.
How long does it take to sell my gear? +
It varies by item type and season. Popular gear like skis, boots, and MTB bikes often sell within a few weeks. Apparel and accessories can take longer.
Are there any upfront fees to consign? +
Zero listing fees, zero upfront costs. You only pay a commission when your item sells. If it doesn't sell, you can pick it back up at no charge.
How do I get my money once something sells? +
Log in to your Ricochet consignor portal to see your balance. Remember, payouts must be requested in writing via our website. Checks will be printed two times per month. Available via mail or in-store pickup.
Can I set the price for my gear? +
Our team prices items based on brand, condition, age, and local market demand to maximize sell-through. If you have a minimum price in mind, let us know at drop-off and we'll do our best to accommodate it.
Do I need an appointment to drop off gear? +
No appointment needed — just walk in during store hours. We do recommend calling ahead to confirm we're accepting your specific gear type before making the trip.
I'm new to Ricochet. How do I create my account? +
When you drop off your gear in store, we'll set up your Ricochet account using your name and email. You'll receive login info by email. If you have any trouble accessing your account, just call us and we'll sort it out.
What items do you accept? +
We take items based on seasonal demand. We only accept items that are new or gently used and in excellent condition — no rips, tears, or dog hair. Items must be clean & functional.

Think Patagonia, Arc'teryx, The North Face, Norrona, Outdoor Research, Prana, REI, Santa Cruz, Specialized, etc.
What items do you NOT accept? +
We do not take broken, dirty, or gear more than 7–10 years old. We do NOT take apparel with company logos or team names. We don't want undergarments, used socks, or regular kid's clothing.

No Costco, 32 Degrees, Old Navy, Forever 21, Champion, etc.
